No, that can't be right.

Either that ATM machine had a glitch, or the office decided to double my salary.

I'm thinking it's not the latter.

A last.fm "friend" asked me how I could possibly have played over 95k songs in the past year and a half.  The simple answer: I didn't.

When I first ran the last.fm application, it scrobbled all the plays on my itunes at the time.  And, ever since I started using last.fm on my work laptop, there are times when it scrobbles my ipod listens - twice.

Hence, the insane number of plays.

I understand his bewilderment, so I'm not going to take offense at (1) the way he asked his question ("how the hell did you...") and (2) that he thinks I run itunes all the time.

Wait, I do listen to a lot of music - on the way to work, during work, on the way home from work (and it's a loooooong commute) and at home.

But not so much that I get to listen to over 95,000 songs in a year and a half. Haha.

The Sister made french toast. Mmm.

I love weekends.

Work gets to me.

I whine far too much about work, and I guess you can tell how much I think of it, because I dream of work. A lot.

When I was working in a law firm, I would dream about being in court, pleadings and their deadlines, and  missed appeals and hearing dates.

Now?

I dreamt that I walked out on my best friends during lunch/dinner because they refused to believe that Maynilad water was potable and safe for drinking.

Go figure.

So this is the New Year... and I don't feel any different

... or so Ben Gibbard said (um, sang).

Still. 2009 was a good year to me.  Actually I realized that I almost always never think of a year as being bad. Maybe because no matter how awful things can get, life is good. God is good.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Ten Years of Metacritic: The Best Music of the Decade

I am Hello Kitty, hear me roar

My mug in the office has been missing for days so I asked one of the janitorial personnel to look for it. My mug was a white mug, with a picture of a cartoon lion in it, and the word "Leo" indicated above the lion (obviously I was born in August). So, I tell him to look for a mug with a picture of a lion in it.

After lunch he comes back with a mug and asks me if it was mine.

I check it out - there, on the mug, was a picture of Hello Kitty in all her pink glory.

I answer: "Eh kuting naman yan, hindi lion."

[Incidentally, they were able to find my mug. When my boss saw the mug, she said, "Buti nahanap niyo. Pero, sino bang kumuha niyan? Baka ginawang tabo."]
